Nice Kovels Article-10 Collectibles not Worth Collecting
http://www.kovels.com/201204169759/Latest-News/10-collectibles-not-worth-collecting-anymore.html
I am not any expert like the Kovels, but it does seem logical that also for "collectibles" from popular culture will also decline in value and desirability when the generation of people that know about that particular popular culture item get older and are no longer acquiring.
After all it is a market!
Best Wishes

The President Obama Inauguration Collectibles
I am seeing a variety of commemorative items and I often wonder.......
How soon I will see the "Swag Bags" carried out of the luncheon on an internet auction?
What the President does if he doesn't like the picture they chose to put on a t-shirt?
How soon will there be a TV reporter itemizing the contents of the "Swag Bag" and the cost?
How many jobs would have been created if all of the memorabilia were Made in the U.S.A.?
When the President has coffee will he drink from a mug with his picture or the First Lady?
What memorabilia will I choose to collect?
I will figure that out tomorrow, visit my website http://www.collectorpro.com to find out!
Also let me know what you are collecting right now.
thanks

Holiday Memories
.jpg)
I have been meaning to do this for quite some time but putting it off because I was slightly intimidated! Yes, a middle-aged business woman who would've thunk it!!
I really am glad I did wait; sometimes it is better to keep my thought to myself, especially with the recent election. All I have to say about that is I hope all of our prayers will be answered.
Well, back to my first blog, as you can see I am choosing to begin my blog at the happiest (for the majority) and most hectic time of the year. I would like to share I had the most wonderful holidays with our family and would not have changed a thing.
The reason this blog is coming about now is the reminiscing and joy of the memories past and hopes for more wonderful ones ahead.
As time goes by and I share more of my interests in Antiques and Collecting you will understand why I am Collectorpro1. I have been collecting old things for a long time and began paying for them myself over 35 years ago and have never lost my interest. I find so many unique things and am curious about so many of them.
I am sitting and enjoying a quiet evening with only the glow of the fireplace, Christmas tree and of coarse the TV (but that is ok). I was looking at our tree and remembering when and where the decorations came from. The one included in this blog is one made by a glassblowing artisan in Gatlinburg TN years ago on one of our visits to the Great Smokey Mountains, one place in the USA not to miss!
Anyway, I drifted off subject. I am beginning this blog with one of my Holiday Memories most dear to me.Mine was sometime in the early 1960's and my Granddaddy Bishop gave me a tree ornament which was a white satin ball with a little doll body with wings and blonde hair. I don’t know where she went but I hope she delighted some other little girl as much as she did me.
Time to end my first blog, I hope you enjoy and maybe you can let me know your Holiday Memories and we can all share a smile.
bye for now
